Build Your Future With ACEF

All your life you’ve probably heard that education pays, and it does, even for those who don’t fit into the “full-time-first-time-four-year-degree-seeking-student” mold that’s typically used as the standard of educational attainment. But for some people, a white collar desk job will never be a fit, and they need an educational program that will prepare them for physical work. They need to learn detailed technical knowledge and get as much hands-on experience as they can.

The good news is that the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation (ACEF) is here to provide the training and experience needed to start careers in construction and skilled trades, which are alive and well throughout the U.S., and, for that matter, the rest of the world. The construction industry is where the rubber meets the road, and it’s where complex plans get tested in real-world applications; the construction industry needs more than just strong arms and backs: it also needs strong minds.

Our licensed apprenticeship programs in the electrical and plumbing trades combine 640 hours of classroom instruction with 8,000 hours of on-the-job training over four years, providing you with the knowledge and skills to sit for the journeyman test in one of the two disciplines.
We also offer unlicensed apprenticeship programs that involve 2-to-4 year competency-based education in HVAC systems, electronic systems, sprinkler fitting, sheet metal, and carpentry. We also offer many specialized workshops and seminars throughout the year related to workplace safety as well as continuing education workshops fulfilling CE requirements in various disciplines.

At ACEF, we build construction careers for the individual and provide a well-trained workforce for the construction industry.
