There are many exciting opportunities in the plumbing industry, and we’re here to help you find them!

In today’s job market, there seems to be a lot of buzz about high-tech job training, and it is often said that most children in school today will eventually have jobs that haven’t been invented yet. Time will tell how true that statement is, but one thing that has not changed (and will not) is that there will always be demand for skilled craftsmen, and most of the trades are practically recession-proof.

Since 1994, the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation has provided quality training to produce a safe, competent, and professional workforce for contractors, and we’re proud to offer top quality plumbing training programs. Our plumbing programs involve a combination of rigorous classroom instruction led by the most talented and experienced people in the business, and a hands-on plumbing apprenticeship working alongside Arkansas’ most respected professionals. All apprenticeship courses are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

Plumbing apprentices require licensure from the Arkansas Department of Health, and will complete a four-year program consisting of 640 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Once the training is complete, the apprentice receives a “release to test,” and can submit an application to sit for the journeyman plumber’s exam.

Most importantly, ACEF operates numerous locations throughout Arkansas, and apprentices will never have to travel far to maintain their studies. We are always looking for hardworking self-starters that are interested in entering rewarding careers, and we encourage you to take a look around our site and explore your options. In addition to our plumbing program, we also train craft professionals in Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance.
