Interested in learning carpentry? Let us help you find an apprenticeship!

Whether you’re approaching your high school graduation, or interested in making a career change, the field of carpentry is one of the oldest and most respected trades in the world. No matter where you are, there’s always a demand for skilled laborers, and with the way that Arkansas continues to grow, starting a carpentry apprenticeship is a great move!

The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation was established in 1994 as a way to satisfy the ever-growing demand for skilled trades-persons, and works tirelessly to serve as a resource for people that enjoy working with both their heads and their hands. We currently train craft professionals in electrical, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, electronic systems technology, building maintenance, and industrial maintenance. When you participate in one of our task-driven, modular training programs, you’ll enjoy being challenged each day with a mix of classroom instruction led by the most talented and experienced professionals in the industry, and a rich curriculum that includes a generous amount of field experience. And, most importantly, all programs start and end with rigorous instruction in job site safety.

Our Carpentry Programs include 2- to 4-year competency-based programs. Carpentry training apprentices will learn all aspects of carpentry, from cabinet fabrication to advanced roof systems. We also partner all of our program participants with advisors and mentors who will work alongside you to create a custom plan that will maximize all of your learning experiences, and position you for long-term growth and success.
