Looking for a great new career? Why not consider a carpentry apprenticeship?

Arkansas is growing by leaps and bounds. New companies are setting up shop all the time, and existing employers are expanding. This means that infrastructure has to be developed, and the demand for skilled labor will continue to stay at an all-time high! If you learn carpentry now, it won’t be long before you can begin a rewarding career as an Apprentice Carpenter!

The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation was established in 1994 to provide quality training to produce a safe, competent and professional workforce for contractors. ACEF currently trains craft professionals in Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance. The foundation also conducts safety and management education courses for construction, commercial, and industrial operations. Safety is an important component of all ACEF training courses. If you’re someone who enjoys working with your hands and your head, and you’re looking for a new opportunity, we’re ready to talk to you.

Our two-year and four-year apprenticeship programs are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. You’ll receive a rigorous program that includes a combination of classroom instruction and field experience, all under the strict supervision of Arkansas’ leading craftsmen. Our Apprentice Programs utilizes the NCCER curriculum, which contains both knowledge-based exams and a “hands-on” performance evaluation. We understand that many of our students have anxiety about taking tests, but when you’re evaluated in one of our program areas, you’ll have the chance to demonstrate what you’ve learned, instead of what you’ve memorized.

The Carpentry Program is a 2- to 4-year competency-based program. Apprentices will learn all aspects of carpentry, from Cabinet Fabrication to Advanced Roof Systems. Our programs of study are offered at numerous locations across the state, so you’ll never have to travel far to maintain your studies.

Once you’ve completed the program, we will then work on preparing you for your career, and finding employment. That is, if you haven’t already been offered a job by the company that you’ve been apprenticing with. The employers that we work with love to hire our graduates, because they are well-trained, career driven, and have a great work ethic!
