ACEF is a great pipeline to a new career in the plumbing industry!

A career in plumbing might not seem like the most glamorous profession in the world, but you’d be surprised at how lucrative that it can be! In an uncertain job market, the skilled trades continue to be in demand, and that’s unlikely to change. In fact, they are practically recession proof! With the large amounts of residential and commercial construction taking place throughout Arkansas, there will always be demand for plumbers, who will continue to command competitive wages as our communities keep developing.

If you’re interested in a plumbing apprenticeship, or any of the skilled trades, you owe it to yourself to get in touch with us! Since 1994, the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation has provided quality training in a variety of trades, including Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance, and we are ready to discuss the numerous advantages of entering the skilled trades! Our mission is to produce a safe, competent, and professional workforce for contractors, and we’re proud to offer top quality plumbing training.

All of our apprenticeships are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Our plumbing programs utilize the The NCCER curriculum, which involves a mix of challenging classroom instruction led by Arkansas’ most talented and experienced craftsmen and craftswomen, and experience in the field with some of the top plumbing companies in Arkansas.

Our plumbing apprentices require licensure from the Arkansas Department of Health, and will complete a four-year program consisting of 640 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. We operate numerous training facilities throughout Arkansas, so you won’t have to travel far to complete your studies, and once your training is complete, you’ll receive a “release to test,” and can submit an application to sit for the journeyman plumber’s exam. Once you’ve passed that exam, we offer job placement services, but the majority of our graduates are offered immediate employment with the companies where they completed their apprenticeships.

If you’re a hardworking self-starter that’s interested in working with both your head and your hands, contact us online right away, or at (501) 372-1590, and let us help you take the first step to an exciting new career!
