As long as Arkansas continues to experience seasonal weather extremes, HVAC technicians are going to be in demand!

There’s an old joke about Arkansas weather: if you don’t like it, wait for a little while, and it will change. During certain times of the year, we run both our air conditioning and heating on the same day, and often only a few hours apart. And, as anyone who has ever had to call an HVAC technician will tell you, they’re paid handsomely to help us make sure that our home comfort systems are in working order when we need them.

Like most of the skilled trades, a career as an HVAC Technician is practically recession-proof, and if you’re a hard worker that likes working with both your hands and your head, our team at The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation offers HVAC training programs to help you start an exciting and rewarding new career!

Our Heating and Air Training program is a 2- to 4-year competency-based program focusing on HVAC controls training, and the design, implementation, and maintenance of various heating and cooling systems, including the importance of the ventilation system. As an HVAC Apprentice, you will receive a combination of classroom instruction, and field experience, and you will be trained and mentored every step of the way by Arkansas’ top HVAC experts. And we operate numerous training sites throughout Arkansas, so you will never have to travel far to complete your training!

Our programs are all certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Our mission is producing a safe, competent and professional workforce for contractors, and as you work alongside some of Arkansas’ top companies, you will always have a leg up on the competition. The demand for quality apprentices is at an all-time high, and we’re committed to giving each of our participants all the tools that they will ever need to succeed in the skilled trades.
