When we talk about all the opportunities available in HVAC, we’re not just blowing hot air!

In spite of an ever-changing job market, the skilled trades continue to be a great career choice. As our communities grow, the demand for new housing, office space, and municipal facilities is on the rise, and those construction projects will employ many plumbers, carpenters, and electricians. And in the state of Arkansas, central heating and air conditioning is always a must! According to the United States Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), HVAC job opportunities are projected to grow 15 percent from 2016 to 2026, much faster than the average for all occupations. The median annual wage for heating, air conditioning, and refrigeration mechanics and installers was $47,080 in May 2017.

At the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation, we offer top quality HVAC Training programs, and we’re looking for candidates that like to work with both their heads and their hands. The Heating and Air Training program is a 2- to 4-year competency-based program. Like all of our programs of study, our HVAC program is certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The program includes training on the design, implementation, and maintenance of various heating and cooling systems, including the importance of the ventilation system, and utilizes the innovative NCCER curriculum. We offer training at numerous locations throughout Arkansas, so you’ll never have to travel far to complete your studies, which will include rigorous classroom instruction, and plenty of valuable field experience working with Arkansas’ top professionals.

Once you complete your studies, we will work with you to help you find employment, but many of our graduates are offered jobs right away. Your field experience gets you a “foot in the door” at many great companies, and companies that hire our graduates report that they are well-prepared from day one, and that their professionalism and work ethic is second to none!
