If you don’t consider a plumbing apprenticeship, you could be “flushing away” a great opportunity!

As anyone who has ever had to pay to resolve a plumbing emergency will tell you, it’s not cheap. This isn’t always great news for homeowners, but if you’re a hard worker that’s interested in learning a skilled trade, plumbing is a great choice. Most skilled trades are practically recession-proof, and with all the new construction that’s taking place throughout Arkansas, you’ll always be able to find plenty of work.

The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation was founded in 1994 to address the constantly growing need for trades-persons, and we’re always eager to talk to self-starters that are looking for a new opportunity. All of our our plumbing programs are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). We also offer apprenticeships in several other skilled trades, including electrical, carpentry, and HVAC repair.

We offer training at multiple sites throughout Arkansas, so you’ll never have to travel far to complete your studies, and the quality of our programs is second to none. All of our apprentice programs are based on the NCCER curriculum, which includes a combination of rigorous classroom instruction, and lots of hands-on field experience. The plumbing program is a four-year program consisting of 640 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. Upon completion of the program, you’ll be granted a “release to test,” and can submit an application to sit for the journeyman plumber’s exam.

Once you’ve completed your program, we will also work with you to find the right job, but many of our graduates are offered jobs right away with the companies where they completed their apprenticeships. Companies love hiring ACEF graduates, because they’re well-prepared, committed to professionalism and safety, and ready to start on day one!

If you’re a hardworking self-starter that’s interested in working with both your head and your hands, contact us online right away, or at (501) 372-1590, and let us help you take the first step to an exciting new career!
