Contact ACEF to learn about our Electrical Apprenticeship Program

Even though new technological innovations continue developing, the technology required to power up these modern machines remains pretty much the same. The modern electrician definitely has to learn all of the new industrial trends and safety standards these days, and the job is far from obsolete. In fact, electricians are in increasing demand, and companies are constantly struggling to fill vacant positions!

At The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation, our mission is to find career-driven individuals, and prepare them for successful careers in the skilled trades. We offer apprenticeship programs in Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance, and we’re ready to help you make an informed decision that help youu stat a rewarding new career.

Our electrical training program will help you meet the licensure requirements of the Arkansas Department of Labor, Board of Electrical Examiners. During your four-year apprenticeship, you’ll receive 640 hours of classroom instruction at your choice of Training centers, and working alongside some of Arkansas’ leading professionals to complete over 8,000 hours of on-the-job field experience. Once you complete the apprenticeship program, you will then be granted a “release to test,” and can submit an application to sit for the journeyman electrician’s exam.

At ACEF, we understand that many of our students are hands-on learners, which is why we utilize the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER) curriculum to set them up for success. The program is innovative, and student progress is tracked with a “hands-on” performance evaluation that lets them demonstrate their knowledge practically and effectively. We’ll also be sure that you learn all of the safety standards that you’ll need to know to be prepared for success on day one at your new job!

Since 1994, we’ve helped thousands of students step confidently into new careers, and we’re committed to your success at all times. Our programs are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. Companies love to hire ACEF graduates because they are so consistently well-prepared, and many of our graduates are offered jobs right away!
