A carpentry apprenticeship is a great way to build your future!

Let’s face it: some people aren’t cut out to sit behind a desk working on a computer. They enjoy working with their hands way too much, and would rather be building something than answering a telephone and shuffling papers. If this sounds like you, then we want to hear from you!

The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation trains craft professionals in Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance. We were established in 1994 to produce a safe, competent and professional workforce for contractors, and are always looking for people that enjoy working with both their hands and their head! Our two-year and four-year apprenticeship programs are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research. The Carpentry Training program is a 2- to 4-year competency-based program. Apprentices will learn all aspects of carpentry, from Cabinet Fabrication to Advanced Roof Systems.

We offer training at multiple facilities throughout Arkansas, and you’ll never have to travel far to maintain your studies. Our courses are led by the most experienced professionals in the industry, and you’ll receive rigorous classroom instruction that’s designed for success, and lots of field experience. We also conduct safety and management education courses for construction, commercial, and industrial operations.

There are a lot of new high tech careers that come and go, but the skilled trades continue to be virtually recession proof. Our graduates are always in demand, and employers always appreciate the fact that they’re ready for the job on day one! If you’re a career-driven self-starter that’s looking for a new opportunity, we’re ready to help you get started!
