Let ACEF help you build your career in construction!
Do you like working with your hands? A career in construction is a great choice! There is so much new construction taking place in Arkansas, and companies throughout the state are offering highly competitive salaries to recruit hard-working people and keep them. The skilled trades are practically recession-proof, and, according to the US Department of Labor Statistics (bls.gov) are predicted to continue to experience faster than average employment growth through 2026. In 2017, its median annual wage of $45,820 surpassed the $37,690 median wage for all industries.
If you’re looking for quality construction job training, The Arkansas Construction Education Foundation is here to help! Since 1994, we’ve been providing building construction training, and a variety of apprenticeships to help satisfy the ever-growing demand for skilled trades-persons. We currently offer 2-4 year programs in electrical work, plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, Sprinkler fitting, and EST. When you begin a construction apprenticeship, you’ll be earning full-time pay working alongside the most experienced professionals in the industry. Your apprenticeship will include a generous amount of valuable experience in the field, and rigorous classroom instruction. We operate several state-of-the-art training facilities in Arkansas, so you’ll be able to complete your studies close to home.
All of our apprenticeship courses are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). The NCCER curriculum is designed for success, and your progress will be evaluated by the skills that you can demonstrate, and not merely what you can memorize.
Once you complete your training, we offer job placement services to our graduates. Many of our graduates are offered jobs at the companies where they apprentice, and companies love hiring our graduates because they’re so well prepared, and have a great work ethic!
