Looking for a plumbing apprenticeship? We can help!

Even though it might not seem like the most glamorous occupation in the world, it’s hard to ignore the fact that plumbers make really great salaries (and they earn every penny). According to the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (bls.gov), the 2018 median salary for plumbers was $53,910 per year/$25.92 per hour. They also predict 14% growth in career opportunities through 2028. A career as a plumber is virtually recession-proof, and you’ll never have to worry about having your job shipped overseas!

If you want to train as a plumber, our team at the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation is here to help! Since 1994, our mission has been to help produce a safe, competent, and professional workforce for contractors, and we’re always on the lookout for people who enjoy working with their hands and their head! In addition to our apprenticeships in plumbing, we also offer programs in Electrical, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance.

Our four-year plumbing apprenticeship programs consist of 640 hours of classroom instruction and 8,000 hours of on-the-job training. All of our apprenticeship courses are certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). We’re also proud to use the innovative NCCER curriculum in all of our training programs. We understand that many of our apprentices are hands-on learners, and we believe in testing them on what they know, and not what they can memorize.

We operate multiple training centers throughout Arkansas, so you’ll never have to travel far to complete your studies. You’ll be trained by Arkansas’ most talented and respected professionals, and once your training is complete, you’ll receive a “release to test,” and can submit your application to sit for the journeyman plumber’s exam.

We also offer programs in Electrical, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance, and will work with you to find the program that’s the best fit.
