Start a new Construction Apprenticeship, and get ready to build your future!

Today’s job market is changing, and predicting the future is very challenging. Most high school students are constantly told that the key to success is completing a four year college degree, only to learn that once they graduate, they’re largely on their own. To make matters worse, they’re often also saddled with tens of thousands in debt in student loans, and are forced learn painful lessons about how expendable that they are when stock prices drop and their companies are forced to resort to layoffs.

On the other hand, skilled trades continue to be among the most recession-proof professions around. As cities and towns throughout Arkansas continue to grow, there will always be demand for smart, hard-working people who like working with their hands. And when it comes to training for construction workers, our team at the Arkansas Construction Education Foundation (ACEF) is here to help! Since 1994, our mission has been providing quality training to produce a safe, competent and professional workforce for contractors. We’re here to satisfy the ever-growing demand for skilled trades-persons, and if you’re a career-driven self-starter that’s looking for an exciting new opportunity, we want to hear from you!

We’re proud to offer construction apprenticeship opportunities in Electrical, Plumbing, Carpentry, HVAC, Electronic Systems Technology, Building Maintenance, and Industrial Maintenance, as well as safety and management education training for commercial and industrial professionals. We offer numerous training facilities throughout the state for the convenience of our students, and we will make sure that you’re prepared to enter your chosen trade as soon as you graduate.

ACEF is certified by the U.S. Department of Labor, recognized by the Arkansas Department of Career Education, and accredited by the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). Our apprenticeships include a combination of rigorous classroom instruction, and experience in the field working alongside Arkansas’ most talented and experienced professionals. After completing your ACEF training program, you’ll be prepared to take the licensing exams for either electrical or plumbing, or receive certifications in the case of unlicensed trades.
