HVAC Apprenticeship Overview

  • Learn the design, installation, and maintenance of heating, cooling, and ventilation systems

  • Enroll as an apprentice (employer required) or as a craft professional (no employer required)

  • Earn certification upon successful completion

  • Hours: 432 hours RTI
    Dates: Fall semester starts the first week of August. Spring semester starts the first week of January.
  • Length of course: Two – three years of classes, one night a week for four hours (5:00-9:00)

This two-year program emphasizes hands-on, competency-based training in all aspects of HVAC systems. Graduates gain the skills needed to install, maintain, and troubleshoot residential, commercial, and industrial heating and cooling systems.

ACEF’s HVAC Apprenticeship Program lets students earn a paycheck while gaining paid, on-the-job experience under licensed professionals. Classroom instruction is combined with fieldwork to develop technical, safety, and problem-solving skills that employers value most. Completing the program sets students up for HVAC certification and long-term career stability.
