Masonry Apprenticeship Overview
- Hours: RTI: 288 Hours
- Dates: Fall semester starts the first week of August. Spring semester starts the first week of January.
- Length of course: Meet once a week for two years

ACEF’s Masonry Program combines classroom instruction with hands-on training to help you master foundational and advanced skills. You’ll practice real-world techniques while learning the safety and precision needed to succeed on any job site.
Reading & Interpreting Blueprints
Learn to read construction plans accurately so every project starts on solid footing. Understand measurements, layouts, and technical drawings to guide your work.
Mixing & Applying Mortar
Master the right techniques for mixing, applying, and handling mortar to ensure strength and durability in every structure.
Laying Bricks, Blocks, & Stones
Gain practical experience in laying a variety of materials, focusing on alignment, spacing, and structural integrity.
Reinforcing & Finishing Masonry Structures
Learn methods for reinforcing walls and finishing surfaces to meet both safety and aesthetic standards.
Masonry Safety Practices

The Apprenticeship Pathway
ACEF’s apprenticeship program allows you to gain paid, on-the-job experience while continuing classroom training. You’ll learn directly from skilled professionals, building your technical skills and industry connections. Completing the apprenticeship positions you for journeyman status and long-term career growth.
