Sprinkler Fitting Apprenticeship Overview
- Install, test, inspect, and certify automatic fire suppression systems
- Work with underground supply lines, overhead piping, and standpipes
- Employer-sponsored program available; contact Executive Director Kathy Fulks to discuss options
- Hours: RTI: 576 Hours
- Dates: Fall semester starts the first week of August. Spring semester starts the first week of January.
- Length of course: Meet once a week for 4 years.
This in-house program trains employees on all aspects of fire suppression system installation and maintenance, providing hands-on experience and technical expertise for workplace readiness.

Blueprint Reading & System Testing
Master interpreting plans and schematics, then verify system performance through testing and diagnostics.
Code Compliance & Inspection Standards
Understand local and national codes and inspection requirements to maintain compliant systems.
Safety Procedures & Equipment Handling
Learn safe handling of tools and materials while following industry best practices to prevent accidents.
